Quakes acquire SKC Supplemental Draft pick

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has acquired Sporting Kansas City’s natural fourth round pick in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft (No. 73 overall) in exchange for the right of first refusal for midfielder Michael Thomas.

The Earthquakes selected Thomas in the second round, No. 19 overall, of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. The midfielder from Notre Dame initially joined San Jose in training camp before signing with Halmstads (Sweden).
