David Bingham 3/27/12 Reserve Match 2

Quakes reserves play at LA Galaxy on May 8

The San Jose Earthquakes reserves are in Southern California for their first road test of the 2012 MLS Reserve League season, set to take on the LA Galaxy on Tuesday, May 8. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. at The Home Depot Center complex in Carson, Calif.

The Quakes reserves (1-1-0, 3 pts.) have been idle for the past month, since a 2-1 home defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Easter Sunday, April 8. San Jose had opened its 10-game Reserve League slate by edging the visiting Portland Timbers, 1-0, in San Jose on March 27.

The LA Galaxy reserves (0-1-0, 0 pts.) came away from their lone Reserve League contest so far this year with a 4-2 defeat to Chivas USA on April 2. All six goals came in the second half, with Chad Barrett tallying both scores for the LA Galaxy off of Adam Cristman assists to cut the margin to just one after Chivas USA had gotten out to a 3-0 advantage.
