SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that they will donate $1 to Operation Care and Comfort for every person who ‘likes’ the club’s official Facebook page starting Saturday, June 30 at noon until the conclusion of the postgame Fireworks show following the club’s sold-out match against the LA Galaxy.

Should the promotion push San Jose’s Facebook following to 50,000, the Earthquakes will double their donation to $2 per like. The promotion will be capped once San Jose’s Facebook page reaches 50,000 ‘likes’, which would result in a donation of more than $25,000 to Operation Care & Comfort.

In addition to partnering with Operation Care and Comfort, the Earthquakes will host Salute to the Armed Forces on Saturday night with a halftime show celebrating Independence Day. The club will also put on a fireworks extravaganza following the final whistle.

The Earthquakes match against the LA Galaxy, presented by Xfinity, is now sold out and will be the largest single game crowd in team history. For tickets to future Earthquakes games, visit www.sjearthquakes.com or call 408-556-7700.
