Jon Busch holding down the top spot on the Weekly Castrol Index

Quakes goalkeeper Jon Busch put in a stellar performance in Saturday’s 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids (vote now for MLS Save of the Week). His six clutch saves propelled the 2008 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year to the top spot of the Castrol Index for Week 16.

The Castrol Index is calculated by a player’s individual contributions in a game, determined by their positive and negative impact in their zone on the pitch. In Busch’s case, his score was high based on the number of saves he made and his positive contribution in goal.
