World Cup journal: preparing for France

Kendall McIntosh, former Earthquakes Academy player and current Santa Clara University goalkeeper, is in Turkey competing with the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team in the U-20 World Cup. McIntosh sends sjearthquakes.com photos and updates from his journey:

Although we didn't get the result we wanted, it was a great effort by the boys and a great experience. Walking into the the locker room and seeing everyone's names on the jerseys gave me goose bumps - it was a great feeling. The day after the game we started the morning off with a team walk around the town before shifting our focus onto our next opponent France. During the middle of the day, however, we got a break and U.S. Soccer organized a lunch for the players and all the families that came to support the team.

Yesterday, we worked on the finishing touches of our game plan in preparation for France. Everyone's getting focused and ready to get 3 points today!
