World Cup journal: win or go home

Kendall McIntosh, former Earthquakes Academy player and current Santa Clara University goalkeeper, is in Turkey competing with the U.S. U-20 Men's National Team in the U-20 World Cup. McIntosh sends sjearthquakes.com photos and updates from his journey:

The team seems like it's got a new chance at life! Even though it wasn't the three points we were looking for, the late goal against France to give us a tie was crucial as it gives us the possibility to pass to the next round.

After the France game, we flew to Kayseri, Turkey and have been training at the Kayserispor training facilities. Today we trained inside the Kadir Has Stadium which was very different from Galatasary's venue but spectacular in its own way.

Everyone's focused for our last group game tomorrow as it's win or go home for us from here on out.

Hopefully, we can get the 3 points!

Be sure to watch Kendall and the USMNT U-20s against Ghana on Thursday, 10 a.m. kickoff on ESPNU or WatchESPN.
