Goodson named Man of the Match for #USAvCRC

Life is good for the U.S. Men's National team as they power through, undefeated in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.  Chris Wondolowski shone particularly bright last week when he bagged four goals in two matches.  The new week of the tournament has brought fresh success for newly-acquired Quake Clarence Goodson.  The defender earned flattering reviews for his performance in last night's 1-0 victory over Costa Rica.

ESPN's Jeff Carlisle gave Goodson an eight- the highest score of the players- for keeping the U.S. organized and posing a threat on set pieces.

The New York Times named Goodson the Man of the Match and gifted him with a solid 7 rating, calling him "extremely confident and dominant defensively."

The U.S. Men's National Team will next face El Salvador in the Quarterfinals at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday in Baltimore.
