SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has made two changes to its regular season schedule in order to accommodate their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series against Deportivo Toluca F.C.


The Earthquakes rescheduled their home opener against the Colorado Rapids to Wednesday, May 7 at Buck Shaw Stadium with a 7:30 p.m. PT kickoff. The match was previously set for Sunday, March 9. Additionally, San Jose will now open the MLS regular season against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 15 at Buck Shaw Stadium at 7:30 p.m. PT. That game was originally scheduled for May 7.


Anyone that purchased the Earthquakes Holiday Pack for the home opener will be contacted by the front office with more information after the New Year, while fans that purchased tickets to either of the rescheduled matches through Tickets.com will be contacted by Tickets.com directly with more information. Game dates for San Jose’s two-leg series against Deportivo Toluca F.C. will be announced at a later date. The first leg will be played at home between March 11-13 and will be Bonus Game A for Earthquakes Season Tickets, while the second leg will take place in Toluca, Mexico between March 18-20.
