SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes unveiled their 2014 preseason schedule today, a slate that includes stops in Tucson and Portland. The Earthquakes will also play against the LA Galaxy in Fresno at Chukchansi Park on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Players will report to camp on Saturday, Jan. 25 for team physicals with the first day of training to follow on Sunday, Jan. 26. They will remain in market through Sunday, Feb. 2 before flying to Tucson for a seven-day stay.
Once in Tucson, the Earthquakes will play exhibitions against Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday, Feb. 5 and the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, Feb. 8. Both matches will be played at the Kino Sports Complex and will be available to watch via livestream on MLSsoccer.com. Training will pick back up in San Jose on Monday, Feb. 10. San Jose will head to Fresno for a match on Saturday, Feb. 15 against the LA Galaxy. Kickoff is 7 p.m. PT at Chukchansi Park. The Earthquakes depart for the Rose City Invitational on Friday, Feb. 21 with their opening game slated for Sunday, Feb. 23 against the host Portland Timbers at 7:30 p.m. PT. San Jose will also face Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Feb. 26 and Portmore United FC (Jamaica) at 2:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, March 1. All of the games in Portland will be played at JELD-WEN Field and will be available to watch via livestream at www.sjearthquakes.com.
The Earthquakes open their 2014 MLS regular season against Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 15. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. PT at Buck Shaw Stadium.
