Player Spotlight: Tommy Thompson's 2015 season in review

Career High: Thompson made a career-high 17 appearances during the 2015 season.

FIFA U-20 World Cup: Thompson was among 21 players selected to represent the U.S.A. at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand. He made four appearances, including one start, during the tournament.

Fountain of Youth: For the second consecutive season, Thompson was the youngest member of the Quakes (turned 20 on Aug. 15) to appear in MLS action.

On Loan: Thompson was sent on loan to USL affiliate Sacramento Republic FC in late August. He made two starts, leading Sac Republic FC to a 2-0-0 record, scoring one goal and adding two assists before returning to the Quakes.

Chipotle Homegrown Game: Thompson was selected by head coach Landon Donovan to represent the MLS Homegrown Team against Club America’s U-20s. Thompson started, played 45 minutes and scored the team’s lone goal.
