When did you find out you’d be recognized as Fan of the Match and how did you react?!
Brenda Hanes:
My husband and I were pretty excited. We always look forward to going to the games with our son, Max, and love that it's another experience we can share together as a family.
SJEQ:
2012 was quite the year to become Season Ticket Holders! What about that year stood out to you?
BH:
The most exciting thing was winning Supporters Shield that year. The Quakes had an amazing year so we were proud of every goal and accolade accomplished that year!
SJEQ:
What are some of your fondest memories as a STH?
BH:
One of our best moments was seeing the team in Portland during the 2013 off season in Portland. It was cool to see that the Quakes had a following on the road and experience watching them play in a soccer stadium. So when they announced they were building their own stadium in San Jose, it was definitely something we were looking forward to!
SJEQ:
Who are a few of your favorite current Quakes and why?
BH:
We of course love Wondo, because who doesn't?!? But this season, we also have enjoyed watching other playmakers - such as Godoy, Hoesen and Hyka!!
SJEQ:
Have you tried/will you try the new Dessert Burger at Avaya Stadium?
BH:
We haven't tried it yet, but since the word "DESSERT" in their name, it's got my attention!
SJEQ:
What makes you proud to be a member of the Quakes family?
BH:
Being our 6th year as a STH, coming to a Quakes game has been like coming to watch your family play. We love how family-friendly the games are and really enjoy watching the guys play.
