FEATURE: Earthquakes Winterfest Raises Food and Toys for Local Community

Winterfest

The San Jose Earthquakes hosted their second annual Winterfest on Sunday, Dec. 3. Four thousand families from throughout the Bay Area came to Avaya Stadium in hopes of playing in snow and participating in some of the holiday activities.

Children at the event enjoyed jumping on the inflatable snow globe and snowman, contributing to the paint wall, taking photos with Quakes mascot Q and making crafts.

The Winterfest also included a food and toy drive for local NGOs. In total, attendees donated 758 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank and more than 1,000 toys for Family Giving Tree, Shop with a Cop Silicon Valley, Bill Wilson Cetner and Sacret Heart Community Service.
