QUAKES NOTES: Quick hits to get you up to date on your favorite club

The San Jose Earthquakes head into a bye week following their 3-2 win on Opening Night against Minnesota United FC. Standout performances from Danny Hoesen and Vako helped the Quakes start the 2018 MLS regular season with three points, with Hoesen scoring two goals and Vako tallying a goal and two assists to secure the victory.                                                                                                                     


The Quakes will return to action next week when they face Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, March 17 at 5:30 p.m. PT at Children’s Mercy Park. Saturday’s game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.


Jimmy Conrad, Quakes Alumni Star in New 2018 Digital Content Series

The San Jose Earthquakes launched seven new digital content series for the 2018 season, featuring soccer icons like Jimmy Conrad, Joe Cannon and Chris Dangerfield, along with local media personalities. The series include videos, written pieces, podcasts and shows on social media that will extend throughout the 2018 regular season and will be hosted on the Quakes website, sjearthquakes.com, as well as the club’s social media channels. Two Earthquakes Players Obtain Green Cards, No Longer Occupy International

The San Jose Earthquakes announced that midfielders Florian Jungwirth and Anibal Godoy have obtained U.S. green cards and no longer occupy international spots on the club's roster. Earthquakes Sign Two MLS SuperDraft Selections

The San Jose Earthquakes announced that the club has signed both of its second-round selections in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft: forwards Danny Musovski and Mohamed Thiaw. Both players have been sent on loan to the club's USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC. Discussions with MLS regarding first-round pick Paul Marie’s eligibility as a domestic player are ongoing. NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California Announce Enhanced Broadcast Details and Full 2018 TV Schedule

The San Jose Earthquakes, NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports California announced their local broadcast schedule for the 2018 Major League Soccer season. The networks will televise 29 Quakes matches this year, including highly anticipated contests against reigning MLS Cup champions Toronto FC (Aug. 18) and expansion side LAFC (June 9).  Plus, the networks will offer live streams of its Quakes matches via NBCSportsBayArea.com and the NBC Sports app. Read the full story here.


KNBR 1050, 1370 KZSF to Continue as Home for Quakes Radio Broadcasts

The San Jose Earthquakes announced that KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF will continue serving as the club’s radio broadcast stations in English and Spanish, respectively. Quakes matches began airing on KNBR in 2017, while KZSF “La Kaliente” will be the team’s Spanish-language home for the eighth-consecutive season. Read the full story here.

The San Jose Earthquakes announced that Audi will serve as the club’s official Luxury Vehicle Partner. Fans can expect to see branding and activations of the Audi Field Clubs and Audi Gate that is accessible exclusively to Quakes premium seat holders. The multi-year partnership also consists of a new program that recognizes the Quakes players and technical staff that exemplify the Quakes and Audi’s shared value of innovation. The Oakland natives have made a name for themselves growing up in the Bay Area music scene & touring their debut album "Drive North" extensively around the world since it’s initial release in 2016. All Premium Seating for 2018 Season at Avaya Stadium Officially Sold Out

The San Jose Earthquakes today announced that all existing premium seating at Avaya Stadium, including suites and clubs, have officially sold out for the 2018 season.
