WEEKLY UPDATE: The California Clasico is approaching

The San Jose Earthquakes will face rivals LA Galaxy this Saturday, June 30 at 6:45 p.m. PT in the annual California Clasico at Stanford Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on UniMas, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF. The California Clasico is the Bay Area’s biggest summer sporting event, with the rivalry match drawing more than 50,000 fans every season since its inception in 2012.


The Quakes drew 1-1 with Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium this past Saturday, June 23. Forward Danny Hoesen tallied his 10th goal of the season and currently shares the third-place spot on MLS’ top scorers list for 2018 (Gyasi Zardes, Columbus Crew SC).


The San Jose Earthquakes are showing all of the 2018 FIFA World Cup matches at Avaya Stadium. 5,000 fans were in attendance for the Mexico vs. South Korea match on Saturday, June 23. Quakes players Anibal Godoy and Harold Cummings are currently participating in the World Cup with the Panama National team, and will face Tunisia on June 28.
