The San Jose Earthquakes play their second of back-to-back road matches when they take on the Montreal Impact on Saturday, July 14 at 4:30 p.m. PT at Stade Saputo. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.


The San Jose Earthquakes suffered a 2-1 loss to the Portland Timbers this past Saturday at Providence Park. Midfielder Florian Jungwirth scored the Quakes’ lone goal in the 87th minute, his third of the season.\

The San Jose Earthquakes defeated the Montreal Impact 1-0 Saturday night in the first game of the 2017 MLS regular season. Anibal Godoy scored in the 17th minute with a chip goal to secure the victory. Five players made their MLS debut for the Earthquakes during the victory: Danny Hoesen, Jahmir Hyka, Florian Jungwirth, Nick Lima and Marco Ureña.

The Earthquakes played the Montreal Impact for the first time in club history on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at Saputo Stadium in Montreal with the hosts winning 3-1. The second meeting between the two teams ended in a 2-2 draw at Buck Shaw Stadium on May 4, 2013 … The two teams met in 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League Group 5 play with the Impact taking the first leg 1-0 at Saputo Stadium on Aug. 7, 2013 … The Earthquakes kept their CONCACAF Champions League hopes alive with a 3-0 rout of the Montreal Impact at Buck Shaw Stadium … The Earthquakes traveled to Stade Saputo on Sept. 20, 2014, falling 2-0 despite holding Montreal scoreless for the first 80 minutes of the match … Avaya Stadium hosted the Impact for the first time on Sept. 16, 2015 in a game that ended 1-1 … The Earthquakes visited Montreal on Sept. 28, 2016, falling 3-1 to the home side … In their only meeting of 2017, the Quakes secured a 1-0 win at home with the help of an Anibal Godoy chip goal.
