Sophie Jones Named to U.S. WNT U-17 Roster for World Cup

San Jose Earthquakes Girls’ Academy midfielder Sophie Jones has been named to the 21-player roster that will represent the United States at the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in Uruguay from Nov. 13 – Dec. 1. The USA kicks off a challenging Group C on Wed., Nov. 14 against Cameroon (1 p.m. ET), faces Korea DPR on Sat., Nov. 17 (1 p.m. ET) and wraps up the group stage against Germany on Wed., Nov. 21 (4 p.m. ET). Earthquakes Announce 2018 Club Award Winners

The San Jose Earthquakes today announced their 2018 club award winners, which includes forward Danny Hoesen as Most Valuable Player, defender Nick Lima as Defensive Player of the Year and goalkeeper Matt Bersano for the Andrew Bedard Spirit of the Game Award/Humanitarian of the Year. Earthquakes Interim Head Coach Steve Ralston Inducted into St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame

San Jose Earthquakes head coach Steve Ralston was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame at a ceremony in St. Louis. Ralston, a native of St. Louis, retired from Major League Soccer in 2010 as the league's all-time leader in assists (135), games played (378), starts (372) and minutes (33,143). He played in four MLS Cup finals for New England and was named an MLS All-Star seven times. He received MLS Best XI recognition three times during his 15-year playing career, received the league’s first-ever Rookie of the Year Award and is the only three-time recipient of the MLS Fair Play Award in league history. adidas MLS Player Combine Returns to Orlando; SuperDraft Presented by adidas set for Chicago

As the close of the Major League Soccer regular season approaches with Decision Day presented by AT&T on October 28, only six teams from each conference will advance to the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, while the remaining MLS clubs will begin preparations for 2019.
