RENO 1868 FC: Corey Hertzog named USL Player of the Month for July

Reno 1868 FC forward Corey Hertzog was announced USL Player of the Month for July on Thursday, August 8. Hertzog tallied a goal in four of Reno’s five USL fixtures last month. Reno achieved a record of 4-1-0 in July that featured three-straight wins, two of which were earned on the road. Hertzog has recorded 11 goals in 2019, tied for fifth most among all USL players.


Reno fell 4-1 to San Antonio FC on Saturday night at Greater Nevada Field, just the team’s second home defeat in 2019. Midfielder Sam Gleadle tallied Reno’s lone goal to deny San Antonio FC the shutout. Gleadle is now at five goals this season. Earthquakes goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski, defender Kevin Partida, and midfielders Gilbert Fuentes and Siad Haji were all featured in the Starting XI for Reno. Despite the result, 1868 FC hold onto second place in the Western Conference.
