Quakes Academy midfielder Sophie Jones has been named the United Soccer Coaches Player of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches in Kansas City, Mo. Jones, a Duke University commit, has already been named Development Academy's player of the year for the U-17 West Conference this season. The Menlo Park native is currently representing the United States in the U-17's Girls FIFA World Cup in Uruguay.
Jones and New York City FC’s Giovanni Reyna are the two recipients for 2018 United Soccer Coaches Youth Players of the Year. Both players were named USSDA Conference Players of the Year and saw action with the U-17 U.S. men’s and women’s national teams this year.
