- Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki attended his first FC Dallas match at Pizza Hut Park on Tuesday night vs. Toronoto FC.
- On Oct. 15, prior to FC Dallas' regular season home finale, FC Dallas inducted the latest class to the club's Walk of Fame, which honors individual contribution to the growth of soccer in North Texas. This year's inductees were Oscar Pareja and the late Bobby Rhine.
- Brek Shea registered a goal and assist on Oct. 15 in a 2-0 win over Vancouver. The goal was his first in MLS since Aug. 13.

- Earthquakes defender Chris Leitch and FC Dallas midfielder Zach Loyd both attended the University of North Carolina.
- UNC has produced many famous alumni. Wes Moss, an Economics major from the class of 1998, now teaches at Emory University.

- The Apprentice is an American reality television show hosted by real estate magnate and the man with hair that is almost as famous (if not more) as his name, Donald Trump.
