Bingham's Penalty Kick Save - May 5, 2015

Arguably the biggest save of the year thus far transpired in the Quakes second match of a three-game road trip against Houston. After Adam Jahn converted on a set piece from Matias Perez Garcia to put the visitors ahead, a penalty kick was awarded to Houston just minutes later with a chance to level the score. As Houston forward Giles Barnes stepped up to take the spot kick, Bingham lunged to his left to meet Barnes' attempt, batting away the ball out of harms way. The save helped San Jose cement a hard-fought 1-0 win in Kinnear’s return in Houston and fuel a unbeaten three-game road trip.

After posting an unbeaten record in their three game road swing, the Earthquakes were eager to return home to Avaya Stadium to host Columbus Crew SC. San Jose broke through in the 55th minute behind the head of Chris Wondolowski, his 99th MLS career goal. Long-time Quakes winger Shea Salinas followed suit just minutes later after making good on a one-two combination with Perez Garcia in the box.

Wondo joins the Century Club - May 24, 2015

Chris Wondolowski has tallied his fair-share of goals in his career. From corner kick headers to driven shots from outside of the box, the Danville native had done it all in search of his 100th goal against Orlando City SC at Levi's Stadium. His opportunity to hit the century mark came in the 67th minute after San Jose was awarded a penalty kick. As cool as ever, Wondo burried his spot kick to the right of Tally Hall for his 100th MLS career goal. Wondolowski is now just the ninth player to reach the 100-goal mark in MLS history.
