Copa America: Panama need victory to advance to quarterfinal

Panama’s match against Chile tonight at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will help decide which teams will advance to the quarterfinals of Copa America Centenario and face Group C winner Mexico. Panama is currently on the outside looking in, but controls its own destiny in Group D.

Despite both teams going into final group play with three points, Panama faces a win or go home scenario due to a -4 goal differential. Chile holds a slight advantage in their previous meetings, with a 2-1-0 record lifetime against Los Canaleros. Panama will be without dynamic Earthquakes midfielder Anibal Godoy, who is suspended after being shown two yellow cards in their last match. Quakes midfielder Alberto Quintero, however, is likely to see substantial playing time after appearing in both of Panama's opening matches.
Fans can watch the Group D determining match at 5:00 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1, UniMas or UDN.
