San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Tommy Thompson starred for Sacramento Republic FC in the club’s thrilling 4-3 win against visiting Saint Louis FC this past Saturday at World Wide Technology Soccer Park in Fenton, Missouri.
The San Jose midfielder, who was named to Sacramento’s starting XI, made his impact felt early, assisting on the opening goal scored by former Quakes midfielder JJ Koval in the 5th minute.
In the second half, Thompson kept the pressure on, threatening on numerous occasions down the flank before notching his second assist of the match after picking out forward Cameron Iwasa in the box in the 57th minute.
