Four things to know about the ‘Salinas Classic’ friendly between Earthquakes II and Monterey Bay F.C. 2 this Saturday

Earthquakes II are heading to the Central Coast to face Monterey Bay F.C. 2 in the ‘Salinas Classic’, presented by Valley Health Plan, this Saturday, April 22 (4 p.m. kickoff) at Rabobank Stadium. To purchase tickets, click here.

Here are five things to know about the match:

  1. Earthquakes II will feature local talent including Salinas native Jerry Ayon and Seaside native Alejandro Cano. The match will mark the first time the club will play in Salinas.
  1. Entering its debut season, MBFC2 is the USL League Two affiliate of USL Championship side Monterey Bay F.C. The Salinas-based team is coached by Earthquakes Hall of Famer and Salinas native Ramiro Corrales.
  1. All ticket proceeds will benefit the Kicks for Kids program in Salinas and Monterey County. Fans will also have the option to donate additional amounts when purchasing their tickets online.
  1. Following the match, the club will host a watch party at 201 Main in Downtown Salinas starting at 6:15 p.m. for the Quakes’ road match vs. Real Salt Lake. Fans in attendance will have a chance to win a signed Quakes jersey by Salinas natives Emi Ochoa and Jerry Ayon.
