When did you first start working for the Earthquakes?
I joined the Earthquakes in 2017. At the time, I was simply looking for ways to meet more people, and this role gave me the perfect opportunity to do that. It’s been especially rewarding to use my Spanish — whether it’s helping fans whose first language is Spanish or assisting visiting international teams as they navigate the venue. I was born in Salinas and moved to San Jose in the third grade, so working here feels close to home.

Have you always been a Quakes fan?
Not originally. I was a Bay Area sports fan in general and would watch the Quakes if the game was televised. My first in-person match was actually back in the ’70s when my cousin, a huge soccer fan, brought me along. I’ll never forget seeing Krazy George — it was such a fun experience.

Has there been a memory that stands out since you started?
One of my most memorable moments was witnessing Chris Wondolowski’s 146th goal, which broke Landon Donovan’s all-time MLS goals record. It was amazing to see one of our own accomplish so much, and I had the privilege of working that game and experiencing it live. Another fun memory was having Will Ferrell in one of my suites — definitely a highlight!

Who is your favorite Earthquakes player of all time?
Without a doubt, Wondo. He’s not only a phenomenal player but also a great representative of the club. I’m also a big fan of Cade Cowell. His family often visits the suite where I work, and they are just the sweetest people.

What does receiving this honor from the Earthquakes mean to you?
It’s incredibly humbling, and to be honest, I was shocked when I found out. This is something I love to do and often call my “fun job,” so to be recognized for it is truly special. From my very first day, I’ve felt like part of the Earthquakes family, and this honor means the world to me.
