Explain what the honor means to you.

What I’ve loved about working with the Earthquakes is I can see that so many of their values align with what [E-Soccer] believes about working with inclusion in sports. It’s been really fun to watch the Earthquakes get their Academy kids really behind what we’re doing, helping kids with developmental disabilities.

What is your most memorable moment working with the club or being a fan?

It was the first time we were able to bring our families from E soccer to the stadium. We had hundreds of our kids from all around the Bay Area on the field here, then it was called Avaya, but with the Academy kids and Q running around. It was a culmination of a vision that I had for many years of being able to have this kind of partnership where kids with special needs are getting to be in the stadium, playing soccer with some of their heroes.

Who is your favorite Quakes player and why?

Shea Salinas. Just building a friendship with Shea off the field, just his values as a person, as a family man, as understanding what we do, and also sharing a passion for soccer. Shea is a class act in every way.

What is your message to other Quakes fans?

I love the family environment of the Quakes organization. It’s become kind of like a family thing. Every time I get a chance, I’m here.
