Explain what it means to you to get this honor.

It means recognition of roughly 25 years of commitment to the team. My wife and I have been season ticket holders since 1997 and we’ve had some kids work for the team and volunteered for the team.

How long have you been cheering for the Black and Blue?

Since they became the Earthquakes, but before that, when they were the Clash. I was aware of them in ’96 but we saw somebody at the mall [in ‘97] and we bought season tickets.

What’s your most memorable moment with the club?

In 2003 when they were down against LA. They came back and that was an incredible game. I’ve been to both MLS Cups and that was pretty exciting too.

Who is your favorite player of all time for the Quakes?

Joe Cannon. Jose is a nice guy. He coached my son a little edit when he was doing goalkeeper stuff. Wando is pretty close behind.

If you had a message for Quakes fans, what would you tell them?

Hang in there. The best is yet to come.
