Explain what it means to you to get this honor.

I’ve been with the Earthquakes since day one as a volunteer over in Spartan Stadium. Devotion means somebody that’s dedicated and can take initiative. My main thing is to make sure people come experience a good soccer match.

How long have you been working with the team?

I believe it was 1997 probably because I have a picture of cowboy Troy with my daughter. My daughter looks very young and it had a date on.

What is your most memorable moment from working here?

Years ago, there was a lady that went into cardiac arrest in the area that I was working. I have a friend of mine who’s a paramedic and I let him know. My buddy helped out until the EMTs were able to get there and she survived.

What is your message to other Quakes fans but also other people that are looking to be as long tenured as you are?

You have to have a passion for what you do. I come over here just to do a job satisfying the patrons that come to watch the game. You want to instill in them a nice atmosphere so that they want to come back.
