After renewing their 2016 season tickets through this year’s 30 Day of Quakes contest, Owen and Marie Jobson, as well as Fernando Carranza and Kira Chinkonsung, will be headed to the 2015 MLS Cup final this weekend in Columbus!

The month-long, season ticket renewal sweepstakes encouraged Earthquakes season ticket holders to renew their tickets for the 2016 season in hopes of winning a daily prize.

Fernando and Kira became first-time Quakes season ticket holders during the club’s 2015 season. Just weeks after moving from Oregon to the Bay Area, they met up with their good friends at a Quakes game.

Once they stepped into the stadium, they were sold.

“We’re both huge soccer fans,” Carranza said. “My girlfriend and I recently moved to San Jose, we went to a Quakes game with one of my good friends and fell in love with it right away.

“We attended a recent Select-A-Seat event, met some of the supporters groups and picked out our seats for the 2016 season,” Carranza explained. “I’ve never been to a playoff match - let alone an MLS Cup Final - so I couldn’t be more excited.”

Season ticket holders Owen and Marie will be joining Fernando and Kira at Mapfre Stadium this weekend after enjoying their first year of Quakes season tickets.

“I couldn’t believe that we won. I haven’t won anything like this in a long time,” Jobson said. “We are very thankful for this. We love the Earthquakes and we can’t wait until next season.”

The Jobsons, restaurant owners in San Jose, can’t wait to spend a few days away from the kitchen and enjoy 90 minutes of exhilarating MLS Cup action.

“When you own a restaurant and raise four kids, it’s nice to able to be awarded a trip like this. It makes it that much more special.

“My wife and I will be going,” Jobson said. “Even though the Quakes won’t be playing, we’ll still be sporting our Quakes jerseys and scarfs!”

Rest assured, Owen, Marie, Fernando, and Kira will be boisterously representing the black and blue Sunday afternoon in Columbus!
