ACADEMY UPDATE: U-13, U-14 squads recognized for undefeated streak during Quakes match

The Quakes Academy’s U-13 and U-14 squads continue to build momentum in the MLS NEXT Season as they extended their undefeated streak on Saturday, Nov. 6 against the Diablo Valley Wolves. The U-13s tied 2-2, while the U-14s won 3-1.

Both squads were recognized on Sunday, Nov. 7th during pregame of the San Jose Earthquakes match against FC Dallas for this season’s success. 

The U-15s and U-17s had back-to-back matches on Saturday and Sunday. The U-15s defeated the Portland Timbers 2-0 and the Seattle Sounders 1-0, while the U-17s defeated Portland 3-1 and tied the Seattle Sounders 0-0.

The U-13s and U-14s will now prepare for back-to-back matches against Atletico Santa Rosa on Saturday Nov. 13 and FC Bay Area on Sunday Nov. 14. The U-15s and U-17s will return to play on Saturday, Nov. 20 when they take on local rivals, Sacramento Republic.

In other news, four boys from our U-17s (Fidel Barajas Juarez, Cruz Medina, Edwyn Mendoza and Oscar Verhoeven) have been training this past week with the U-17 U.S. Men’s National Team after being called up to their camp.
