Dawkins joined the Earthquakes on loan from English Premier League giant Tottenham Hotspur during the preseason. He has scored four goals while playing in 12 games while adding a clever attacking element to San Jose's attack.
The Earthquakes are 5-6-6 in MLS play halfway through the season.
After a 2-0 loss against Chivas USA on Wednesday at The Home Depot Center, San Jose will look for a rebound performance against Eastern Conference power Philadelphia this weekend.The Quakes host the Union at 7:30 p.m. PT on Comcast SportsNet California.
