DONATE: Former Clash goalkeeper Tom Liner in search of kidney donation

Tom Liner - San Jose Earthquakes - 2018

Dear Earthquakes Community,

In September 2018, I was unexpectedly hospitalized and diagnosed with end stage Kidney Failure. Since then, I have been going to dialysis three times a week for 4-hour treatments in order to keep my blood free of toxins.

My doctor feels I am a great candidate for kidney transplant, as I have no other health problems. Receiving a kidney will give me the opportunity to return to work and regain a normal life with my family.

Since playing in goal for San Jose in 1996 and 1997, the inaugural years of MLS, I have been working as a full-time men’s soccer coach and instructor at Foothill College. I have been married for 18 years to my wife, Allison, and we have two boys, Jack (17) and Luke (14). Through this difficult time, our family is grateful for the kindness, generosity and loving support of our community.
