Earthquakes 4v4 Tourney series wraps up in Hayward

Earthquakes 4v4 Presented by Wells Fargo in Hayward, Calif.

The third and final Earthquakes 4v4 Tournament presented by Wells Fargo of the summer drew over 550 competitors and 1,000 fans to a sold out event at the soccer fields of Alden Oliver Sports Park in Hayward on Sept. 18.


Earthquakes midfielder Anthony Ampaipitakwong was on hand to sign autographs and pose for photographs with participants and fans. In all, over 80 teams competed in 12 different divisions.

Prizes were awarded to the first and second place teams in all divisions. All participants received an Earthquakes ticket, event t-shirt, and sponsor gifts.
The 4v4 Tournaments presented by Wells Fargo have provided fun and entertainment throughout the summer for local soccer fans in the community. The first tournament kicked off at Independence High School in San Jose, followed by a large showing of teams at Cesar Chavez Academy in East Palo Alto, and finished strong at Alden Oliver Sports Park in Hayward.


The tournaments were open to youth and adults of all ages, and participants received tickets to an Earthquakes match, an event t-shirt and trophies. Sponsors including Wells Fargo, Amway, Xfinity and Soccer Craze were on site with gift items for participants and fans as well.
