EQ Exclusive: City Life with Sam Cronin

Sam Cronin in San Francisco

Housing prices aside, it's not too difficult for a new San Jose Earthquakes player to find a decent pad to crash at in the Silicon Valley.

Many can be found within a 10-minute drive of the club's headquarters. A small faction has migrated to nearby Sunnyvale. Others, like Chris Wondolowski, Jon Busch, Chris Leitch and Tim Ward, chose a  cozy suburban community in Los Gatos. And then there's the outliers.

Veteran defender Ramiro Corrales makes a daily hour-plus commute to be close to his family in Salinas. To the West, a trio of Quakes players traded time stuck in traffic on Highway 17 to live near the beach in Santa Cruz. One wakes up each morning to the tune of trolley cars and the hustle and bustle of San Francisco's Nob Hill.

That's where the EQ Exclusive crew caught up with Earthquakes midfielder Sam Cronin for a brief offseason Q&A about his San Francisco lifestyle. Check it out:
