Quakes Combine - 2019

The San Jose Earthquakes held their annual local combine over the weekend, inviting more than 60 amateur players to Avaya Stadium for a series of matches on Saturday and Sunday.

Roughly three dozen colleges were represented, including local staples such as Cal, Stanford, Santa Clara, San Jose State, Saint Mary’s and Pacific. The Quakes also brought in talent from elsewhere in the country, including players from Syracuse, Clemson, Creighton, Oregon State, Gonzaga and UC Santa Barbara, among others.

The large group did include a few former Quakes Academy standouts but was not limited to American-born players. In fact, the combine was also attended by many international players from Mexico, Brazil, Spain, France, Chile and others.

The annual local combine is held to gain additional insight on potential SuperDraft selections next month and to also help find high-potential players for Reno 1868 FC in 2019.
