AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 30
The Budweiser Golden Boot race appears destined for another dramatic finish after Chris Wondolowski staked his claim to a three-way tie with Dwayne De Rosario (DC) and Thierry Henry (RBNY) over the weekend.
The defending Golden Boot champ tallied twice on the road against the New England Revolution to knot things up at 14 goals apiece. In 2010, Wondolowski scored four goals in the final week of the season, including a hat trick against Chivas USA on Oct. 20, and accounted for all of San Jose's 10 goals during the final eight games of the season to pass Edson Buddle and capture the Golden Boot.
Wondo and the Quakes are back in action against Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday at CenturyLink Field (7:30 p.m. PT, FOX Soccer). Meanwhile, Dwayne De Rosario plays twice this week with Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday and Chicago on Saturday and Thierry Henry faces Sporting KC on Saturday.
