SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today a multi-year partnership with Slalom, which becomes the official technology consulting partner of the Earthquakes. With three offices serving the Bay Area, Slalom focuses on solving business and technology challenges in 41 markets around the world.

ā€œWe are excited to partner with Slalom and welcome them to the Earthquakes family,ā€ said Earthquakes Vice President of Strategy Ian Anderson. ā€œWe believe their services will support the Quakes across our organization while engaging with the local community through activations and educational programs.ā€

The Earthquakes will partner with Slalom’s consulting services, which will provide unique and impactful solutions for the Quakes across the organization. From establishing a technology innovation series to engaging in local community activations, Slalom will provide their technology expertise in San Jose and its surrounding areas both on and off the pitch.

ā€œSince its founding in 2001, Slalom has been instrumental in addressing and solving business challenges around the world. Today, we are proud to be the technology consulting partner for the Earthquakes,ā€ said Slalom Silicon Valley General Manager James Young. ā€œSlalom is not only an innovative and driven consulting firm, we are also people who are invested in each community in which we live, work and play. Engaging with our local communities and empowering students in the Bay Area schools in partnership with an organization equally driven and committed as the Quakes, is both exciting and an honor.ā€

The Quakes and Slalom will join forces with local high schools to launch Slalom’s Enterprise Challenge, an educational program that gives students the opportunity to work with the Quakes and Slalom on sports-business challenges. Student teams will work together to develop solutions and present their suggestions to a panel of judges with Slalom staff mentors serving as coaches for each participating team. The winning team will be selected with the goal of helping to implement their solution. The Enterprise Challenge will be promoted through the Quakes’ and Slalom’s social media channels as they strive to inspire youth education in the Bay Area.

As part of the partnership, Slalom signage will also be featured on game days throughout the stadium grandstand LEDs and concourse screens to highlight the partnership and the joint commitment to the Bay Area community.
