2019 Open Cup Sacramento

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will host Sacramento Republic FC in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, June 11 at Avaya Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

The Quakes hold a 17-14 all-time record in the U.S. Open Cup, including a 15-3 record against non-MLS teams. The match will be the Quakes’ sixth at Avaya Stadium, where they have compiled a 4-1 record against Sacramento Republic FC (2015), the LA Galaxy (2015, 2017), Seattle Sounders FC (2017), and the San Francisco Deltas (2017).

San Jose and Sacramento have met twice prior in U.S. Open Cup play. After earning a 2-1 victory at Kezar Stadium in 2014, the Quakes then erased a two-goal deficit to tie the game and later win on penalty kicks in 2015. Both matches, like the upcoming showdown on June 11, were in the Fourth Round of the competition.
