NEWS: Earthquakes, LA Galaxy to Face Off in Las Vegas

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club will face the LA Galaxy on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 in a preseason match set to kick off at 7 p.m. PT at Cashman Field in Las Vegas. 


The match marks the second consecutive year that the two California Clasico rivals will face each other at Cashman Field for a preseason match. Last year’s match saw the Quakes fall 1-0 after Galaxy forward Gyasi Zardes scored in the 27th minute. 


Tickets for the match start at $20 and will go on sale to the general public on Monday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. via ticketfly and californiaclasico.com. An exclusive, discounted presale is available to Earthquakes Season Ticket Holders from Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. through Monday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. 


The match comes a week before the Quakes face USL affiliate Reno 1868 FC on Saturday, Feb. 18 in a preseason matchup set to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. PT at Greater Nevada Field. The game will mark the historic first match for Reno 1868 FC, who will play their inaugural season in USL during the 2017 season. The match will also be the first time a major league team from any sport will play in Reno.
