SAN JOSE, Calif. â€“ The match between the San Jose Earthquakes and Los Angeles Football Club originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, Nov. 1 has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 4. The match will kick off at 8 p.m. PT and be broadcast on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.

Last week, LAFC announced three positive cases of COVID-19 among their player group. The match was indefinitely postponed while Major League Soccer evaluated whether or not it could be rescheduled prior to this Sunday’s Decision Day presented by AT&T.

Wednesday will be the last regular season home match in 2020 for the Earthquakes, who are currently holding the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. As previously announced by MLS, final standings will be determined by points per game average, and not total points earned, due to all teams not playing the same number of matches.

The Quakes would clinch a spot in the postseason on Wednesday with a win over LAFC or a draw coupled with an LA Galaxy draw or loss against Seattle Sounders FC.
