NEWS: Jackson Yueill Named to Final USMNT Roster Ahead of Concacaf Nations League Finals

SAN JOSE, Calif. â€“ San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jackson Yueill was named to the United States Men’s National Team roster for next month’s Concacaf Nations League Final Four. The USA will face Honduras in the semifinals of the competition on June 3 before competing in the championship game or third-place game on June 6. All matches will take place at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.


Team USA will prepare for the competition with a friendly against Switzerland on Sunday, May 30 in St. Gallen, Switzerland (11 a.m. PT; ESPN, UniMás, TUDN). The team will then travel to Colorado to face Honduras in the semifinals on Thursday, June 3 (4:30 p.m. PT; UniMás, TUDN, Paramount+).


Should the United States defeat Honduras, they would face the winner of the other semifinal between Costa Rica and Mexico in the championship match on Sunday, June 6. The USMNT will then wrap up their trip with a friendly against Costa Rica on Wednesday, June 9 in Salt Lake City, Utah (4 p.m. PT; ESPN2, UniMás, TUDN).


Yueill, 24, has made nine prior appearances for the senior national team. The UCLA product was most recently selected as team captain for the U.S. U-23s at the Concacaf Olympic Qualifying Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico, scoring two goals in four appearances (three starts) during the tournament. Prior to that, the Bloomington, Minn. native started in three of the four matches that led to the USA finishing first in Concacaf Nations League Group A in 2019.


Named the Quakes’ Young Player of the Year in both 2019 and 2020, Yueill has played every minute of the 2021 season for San Jose, scoring two goals in seven matches. He was selected to Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week in Week 3.
