San Jose Earthquakes Season Ticket Holder: Season Ticket Renewal Experiences Terms and Conditions

There are two components to this Season Ticket Renewal Experience (the “Experience”): the Sweepstakes (defined below) and the Promotions (the “Promotions”). These terms and conditions apply to both the Sweepstakes and the Promotions, unless otherwise set forth in these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”). Participating in any part of the Experience, including but not limited to the Sweepstakes and/or the Promotions, constitutes your agreement to these Terms and Conditions.

“Eligible Participant”: Open only to residents of California who: (1) are eighteen (18) years of age or older; and (2) create or are holders of a U.S. personal or business PayPal account in good standing (“Valid Account”); and (3) are current San Jose Earthquakes season ticket holders (“STH’s”) in good standing (eligibility for who is a current STH in good standing will be determined solely by San Jose Earthquakes). For the Sweepstakes only: Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) of Earthquakes Soccer, LLC d/b/a The San Jose Earthquakes (the “Earthquakes” or, for the Sweepstakes, “Sponsor”), PayPal, Major League Soccer, L.L.C. (“MLS”), and Soccer United Marketing, LLC (“SUM” and collectively with Sponsor and MLS, the “MLS Entities”) and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate or win a prize.

For the Sweepstakes only: “Renewal Period”: Starts on July 1, 2025 at 8:00:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PT on August 10, 2025.

To be entered into the Sweepstakes, Eligible Participant must renew their season tickets for the 2026 San Jose Earthquake season by following the instructions, as well as taking any other actions, specified below, by August 10, 2025, or submit their mail-in entry by August 10, 2025:

THE SWEEPSTAKES:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Eligible Participants may enter the Season Ticket sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) for a chance to win the Coin Toss Prize (defined below), the Pre-Game Warm-Up Experience (defined below), or the Suite Upgrade Prize (defined below) (the Coin Toss Prize, Pre-Game Warm-Up Experience, and Suite Upgrade Prize may collectively be referred to as the “Sweepstakes Prizes”).

How to Enter*: There are two (2) methods of entry for Eligible Participants to enter the Sweepstakes:

  • To enter by renewing season tickets: During the Renewal Period, renew your season tickets for the 2026 San Jose Earthquake season tickets by placing your deposit and setting your payment method as PayPal in your Ticketmaster Account Manager and complete payment of the deposit with a Valid Account. A successful renewal will result in one (1) Sweepstakes entry (a “Renewal”).
  • To enter without making a purchase: During the Renewal Period, print your complete name, street address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, zip code, day and evening telephone numbers and email address on a 3”x5” paper, then place it in an envelope with appropriate postage and mail to: PayPal Perks 1123 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110. Completed submissions will result in one (1) Sweepstakes entry. Proof of submission of entry does not constitute proof of delivery. Entries must be postmarked by the last day of the Renewal Period.

Limit one (1) entry per Eligible Participant, regardless of method of entry.

RANDOM DRAWING; ODDS: The potential winner of the Coin Toss Prize will be selected by random drawing on or about August 11, 2025 from among all eligible entries received by the Earthquakes. The potential winners of the Pre-Game Warm-Up Experience Prize will be selected by random drawing on or about August 11, 2025. The potential winners of the VIP Suite Upgrade “Suite Upgrade Prize” will be selected by random drawing on or about September 17th, 2025. The decisions of the Earthquakes are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Renewal Period.

PRIZES: The following prizes are available to be awarded:

  1. Ceremonial Coin Toss on 8/17 – PayPal Title Night (“Coin Toss Prize”): One (1) verified winner will have access to perform the ceremonial coin toss on August 17, 2025 prior to kickoff of the San Jose Earthquakes vs. San Diego FC game and will additionally have access to the field before the game, meet and greet with players and/or staff, and perform the pre-game coin toss on behalf of PayPal. The approximate retail value of the Coin Toss Prize is $500.
  2. Pre-Game Warm-up Experience: For Eligible Participants who complete the Renewal Process during the Renewal Period, 100 seats renewed by Eligible Participants up to a maximum of six (6) seats per Eligible Participant will get access to attend the pre-game warm-up watchers passes for the Levi’s match in Santa Clara, CA on September 13th, 2025. Dates are subject to change in PayPal’s or San Jose Earthquakes sole discretion. Travel, lodging and expenses not set forth in these Terms and Conditions are not included in the Pre-Game Warm-Up Experience. The approximate retail value of the Pre-Game Warm-Up Experience is $200.
  3. VIP Suite Upgrade (“Suite Upgrade Prize”): Fifteen (15) verified winners will get access for the winner and one (1) guest to a VIP PayPal Suite (Suite 129A) for one regular season Quakes home game (to be determined in the Earthquake’s sole discretion) and access to complimentary food & beverage. The approximate retail value of the Suite Upgrade Prize is $500.

Details of the Sweepstakes Prizes will be determined in the Earthquakes sole discretion. Travel, lodging and expenses not set forth in these Terms and Conditions are not included in the Sweepstakes Prizes and are the sole responsibility of the winners.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be contacted by the Earthquakes by phone, email or another method determined by the Earthquakes. Winners may be required to execute and return documents prior to any prize being awarded, including but not limited to tax forms, an affidavit of eligibility and/or a publicity release. If any potential winner does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, fails to return any required forms, cannot attend the games associated with a Sweepstakes Prize or does not respond to any such notification within two (2) days of the time of contact, a disqualification will result, the applicable prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate potential winner may be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.

Limit one (1) Sweepstakes Prize per person.

Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes associated with the Sweepstake Prizes.

SPONSOR: The Sponsor of this Sweepstakes is the San Jose Earthquakes, PayPal Park, 1123 Coleman Ave., San Jose, CA 95110. To request a winner’s list, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: PayPal Perks Winners’ List, 1123 Coleman Ave., San Jose, CA 95110. Winners’ name requests must be received by November 1, 2025.

All defined terms set forth in “THE SWEEPSTAKES” section above shall have the same meanings when used in “THE PROMOTIONS” section below.

THE PROMOTIONS:

To be eligible for the Promotions described below, Eligible Participants must renew their season tickets for the 2026 San Jose Earthquake season tickets by (i) placing their deposit, (ii) setting their payment method as PayPal in their Ticketmaster Account Manager and (iii) completing payment of the deposit with a Valid Account (the “Renewal Process”) by September 12, 2025.

PayPal Pro Experience: For Eligible Participants, the first 100 seats reserved for those who, by September 12, 2025, complete the Renewal Process during the Renewal Period AND sign-up for the PayPal Pro Experience at https://www.sjearthquakes.com/tickets/renewals/paypalproexperiencewill receive access for the to a PayPal Pro Experience at PayPal Park. Up to a maximum of eight (8) seats per Eligible Participant. The PayPal Pro Experience will include a tour of the locker room, access to the PayPal Park pitch to play soccer, and a meet and greet with players and/or staff. Experiences will be held at PayPal Park on a date that is to be determined. Dates are subject to change in PayPal’s or San Jose Earthquakes sole discretion. Travel, lodging and expenses not set forth in these Terms and Conditions are not included in the Pay Pal Pro Experience.

Eligible Participants who have qualified to the PayPal Pro Experience will be notified by San Jose Earthquakes via phone or email.

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR BOTH THE SWEEPSTAKES AND THE PROMOTION:

San Jose Earthquakes determination of eligibility of Eligible Participants is final. The Sweepstakes Prizes and the Promotions are non-assignable, non-transferable, have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash. San Jose Earthquakes reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Sweepstakes or the Promotions in part or in their entirety at any time without notice, for any reason in its sole discretion. Similar offers may run at the same time; qualification for any part of the Experience does not constitute qualification for any other offer.

The San Jose Earthquakes are not responsible and/or liable for any lost, stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, interrupted, delayed, or misdirected e-mail, or offer-related materials or correspondence or if any participant’s e-mail address, Valid Account, STH Ticketmaster account, or other contact information does not work, is deleted, or is changed without participant giving prior written notice to San Jose Earthquakes. San Jose Earthquakes reserves the right to review any account or transaction related to the Sweepstakes or the Promotions, in its sole discretion, without notice, and delay or reverse completion of any purchase or renewals.

The Sweepstakes and Promotions are void where prohibited.

Participation is subject to San Jose Earthquakes Season Ticket Holder terms and conditions and PayPal’s User Agreement.

All information and files submitted in the format specified will become property of San Jose Earthquakes and/or PayPal and used as provided in the MLS Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, each of which can be found by visiting https://www.mlssoccer.com/legal/terms-of-service, https://www.mlssoccer.com/legal/privacy-policy, and https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/privacy-full. Any questions relating to the Experience will be resolved in San Jose Earthquakes’ sole discretion and its decisions related to the offer will be final and binding.

By participating in any part Experience, including but not limited to the Sweepstakes or the Promotions, each Eligible Participant agrees to (i) be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and (ii) waives any and all claims against the Earthquakes Soccer, LLC d/b/a The San Jose Earthquakes, PayPal, MLS, and Soccer United Marketing, LLC and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers, representatives and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Experience, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, “Released Parties”) for any injury, damage or loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the Experience, including but not limited the Sweepstakes or the Promotions, or use of any Sweepstakes Prize or Promotion or any travel or activity related to the receipt or use of any Sweepstakes Prize or Promotion; and (iii) releases and holds harmless the Released Parties from and against any claim or cause of action arising from the Experience, including but not limited to the Sweepstakes Prizes and/or the Promotions.

Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, undelivered, inaccurate, postage-due or garbled entries, through e-mail or mail. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to entrant’s or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Experience or downloading materials from or use of any website in connection with the Experience.

Games, events, and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of MLS, the applicable MLS team and/or the applicable third party and may be subject to change. Exact seat locations will be determined by the Earthquakes. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes or promotions will govern in the event a game, event or exhibition, as defined by MLS or the Earthquakes, is not played due to weather, an Act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, work stoppage or any other reason. Those attending a game agree to comply with all applicable stadium regulations in connection with the Sweepstakes Prizes and/or Promotions. The Earthquakes and the applicable MLS Entities or third party running the game or event reserve the right to remove or deny entry to any Eligible Participant and/or his/her guest(s) who engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at any game, event or exhibition. Released Parties (as defined below) will not be responsible for weather, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other event that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any game, event or exhibition.

The Earthquake’s failure to enforce any terms of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
