Steven Lenhart vs. New England Revolution 052111 2

OXNARD, Calif. (Feb. 18, 2012) – Steven Lenhart and Brad Ring scored in a 2-0 win against the Chicago Fire at Oxnard Community College on Saturday, the club's final day in Southern California.

The Quakes got on the board early as left back Ramiro Corrales pushed up the flank before whipping in a swerving ball for Lenhart. The target striker lunged from the six-yard box to nod the ball just inside the back post for an initial 1-0 lead in the third minute.

Chicago's Dominic Oduro nearly brought things level six minutes later as winger Patrick Nyarko cut inside before slotting his countryman towards the box. The Ghanaian forward took a touch before hitting a low drive that San Jose keeper Jon Busch turned around the left post for a corner kick.

The Earthquakes doubled their lead just before the half when Marvin Chavez’ sent an in-swinging corner kick from the left. The effort found a charging Brad Ring at the back post, who placed his headed effort just past Nolly to give San Jose a 2-0 lead in the 38th minute.
