The Earthquakes acquired Attakora on July 14, 2011 in a four-player trade that sent Ryan Johnson along with an international player slot and allocation money to Toronto FC for Jacob Peterson, Alan Gordon and the young center back. He played in six matches, starting five, for San Jose.
