RECAP: Vako helps create goal, Guram plays 90 minutes in first-ever win in UEFA Nations League history

Quakes - Vako - Guram

History was made during the first-ever United Nations League match on Thursday, Sept. 6 as San Jose's own Vako and Guram Kashia helped lift Georgia to a commanding 2-0 win against Kazakhstan.

Kashia started and played the full 90 minutes, while Vako, who started and played 84 minutes, helped cause Kazakhstan's own goal with a dangerous chance inside the 18 yard box in the 74th minute.

In their next match, Georgia will return home to face Latvia on Sept. 9. The competition will continue during FIFA breaks in October and November.
