RENO 1868 FC: End of season awards

Reno 1868 FC unveiled club-selected award winners last week. Corey Hertzog was named Forward of the Year and Player of the Year. Duke LaCroix was named Defender of the Year.


Hertzog tallied a record 19 goals in 2019, surpassing forward Dane Kelly (18) for most goals in a single year by a Reno 1868 FC player. Hertzog tallied Reno’s lone goal in their Western Conference Quarterfinals defeat to Sacramento Republic FC.


Hertzog was named the USL Player of the Month for July. He netted a goal in four of 1868 FC’s five matches that month, leading the club to a record 4-1-0.


LaCroix recorded three goals in his second season with Reno and earned USL Team of the Week honors for Weeks 7, 13 and 21.
