SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Earthquakes announced today the launch of their 2026 Quakes Foundation Giving Fund, which will provide monetary support to local organizations, soccer leagues and soccer clubs working to expand access to soccer and elevate the game throughout the Greater Bay Area.

The fund, which is accepting applications now through Monday, Dec. 7, was established to ensure that youth across our region have meaningful opportunities to play soccer, develop their skills and understanding of the game, as well as access the resources needed to pursue soccer at higher levels of the game if they choose to do so. In honor of the club’s 52 years in existence, the Quakes Foundation will be giving out $52,000 in total grant money.

“From our start 52 years ago, the Quakes have been a true part of the fabric of our communities and have helped bring people together through the power of soccer,” said Robert Davis, Earthquakes VP of Community Relations. “In this World Cup year, the Quakes Foundation Giving Fund will carry that legacy forward, helping local organizations turn the shared passion for our game into lasting connections and greater opportunities for youth to play and grow.”

Eligible applicants include:

  • Youth soccer clubs and leagues located in the Greater Bay Area
  • Public and private schools offering competitive soccer programs in the Greater Bay Area
  • Community organizations that run soccer-focused programming within the Greater Bay Area

The application can be found HERE through our DonationX platform. Grant award amounts will be in increments of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000.

The number of grants will depend on final applications received, as well as distribution amounts determined for each organization. Grant award amounts will vary based on demonstrated need. Following the application deadline and formal selection process, all final recipients will be recognized at a San Jose Earthquakes home match during the 2027 Major League Soccer Sprint Season.
