LAFC’s entrance into the league will give MLS an odd number of teams in 2018, though with midweek games there will still be a few weeks where every team plays. Nonetheless, each team has at least two full weeks off over the course of the year, allowing them time to rest and recuperate – or play for trophies such as the US Open Cup, Canadian Championship and CONCACAF Champions League.
