Staff Pro job fair scheduled for Feb. 13 and Feb. 14 at Avaya Stadium

Be a part of history and join Staff Pro for our inaugural season at Avaya Stadium! Staff Pro will host a job fair on Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14 for part-time game staff for the 2015 season.


Details:

Where: Avaya Stadium - 1123 Coleman Avenue across from the San Jose International Airport. Parking available in the lot behind the stadium off of Newhall Drive. Follow signage to the Job Fair. 
When: Friday, February 13 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday, February 14 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
Who: Anyone interested in working for Staff Pro Inc. at Avaya Stadium. Must possess a current California guard card. 
What: Positions include providing customer service for all guests and clients at Avaya Stadium.

Must be able to provide world class guest service for all of our guests and clients. Applicants must possess strong customer service skills and be able to work in a team atmosphere.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Check tickets and assist guests to seating locations.
  • Knowledge of all venue locations and services offered.
  • Effectively screen guests for unauthorized items as well as their belongings as they enter venue.
  • Operate a hand-held and walk thru metal detector and two way radio.
  • Make quick decisions, and take actions consistent with Staff Pro's policies and procedures.
  • Successfully present issues and information, orally and in writing, in a clear and credible manner.
  • Identify and quickly respond to emergencies, including assisting with evacuations, according to emergency protocol.
  • Follow instructions as assigned by Staff Pro Management.
  • Clearly write and describe issues by completing an incident report when requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • A team player with effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to follow all policies and procedure to include attendance, uniform appearance, and performance requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow instructions, and policies and procedures.
  • Previous customer service a must.
  • Basic math skills to provide accurate counts and reports.
  • Must be transportation to travel to various event sites around Bay Area.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 60% of games.
  • Attend all department trainings as required.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 4-6 hours.
  • Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas including but not limited to: stairs, escalators, carpet, concrete, grass and dirt.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: heat, rain, sun, around crowds, loud noise, flashing lights, and darkened corridors.
