GK – Andrew Tarbell: The Quakes’ No. 1 goalkeeper, who has played every minute of MLS play this season.
D – Joel Qwiberg: The Swede slots in as the team’s left back following a hamstring injury to Shea Salinas last weekend. Qwiberg has one appearance this season, starting and playing 58 minutes in the team’s 1-1 draw in Philadelphia. Is one of the five internationals active.
D – Francois Affolter: The Swiss center back has made four appearances for San Jose this year. Is one of the five internationals active.
D – Jimmy Ockford: The 25-year-old has seen a spike in playing time recently, starting each of the last four MLS games.
D – Kevin Partida: The Quakes’ third-round SuperDraft selection in 2018, Partida signed directly with Reno 1868 FC. A natural center midfielder, Partida impressed during preseason camp at fullback and gets the call-up for tonight’s match. He also scored this banger for Reno, earning him a spot on the USL Team of the Week.
M – Fatai Alashe: The fourth-year pro will be expected to do the dirty work as the ‘6’ in a diamond midfield. He’s been one of the team’s most oft-used subs this season, making six appearances off the bench to go along with his one start.
M – Jahmir Hyka: An exciting winger from Albania, Hyka hasn’t found playing time easy to come by this season, making just four appearances and two starts. Is one of the five internationals active.
M – Jackson Yueill: The 21-year-old signal caller is one of the team’s best passers, especially when it comes to switching the point of attack. He has started six of the 13 MLS games to date.
M – Tommy Thompson: The lone Homegrown Player active for tonight’s match, Thompson will be given the keys to the team’s attack as the ‘10’. He has missed a large portion of this season due to illness, but has worked his way back to fitness, making appearances in three straight games.
F – Chris Wondolowski: Goals here won’t help him catch Landon Donovan’s record, but would certainly be welcome to help San Jose advance.
F – Quincy Amarikwa: Amarikwa has made 10 appearances off the bench for San Jose this year. Tonight marks his first start in meaningful competition in 2018.
