The San Jose Earthquakes named Carly "Mad Dog" Kay the club's Odwalla Player of the Month for April.
Kay plays U-15s for the Cheetahs in Capitola, Calif. The defensive midfielder has played competitive soccer for six years with the same team under coach Kelly Binger. She is a straight-A student at New Brighton Middle School and has played soccer, volleyball and basketball each of the last three years for the school. In addition to her extra-curriculars, has been a regular on her school's honor roll and has earned Student of the Month in each of her three academic years at NBMS.
